Program Description
Event Details
This is a hybrid book club in collaboration with our Older Adult Library programming. We'll meet over lunch (lunch will be provided, but feel free to bring your own!) and discuss Nic Stone's Clean Getaway, a middle-grade chapter book about a bi-racial boy who goes off on an adventure with his white grandmother, recreating a road trip that she and his grandfather (an interracial couple) took through the South in 1963. You can stop by the Children's Desk to find out what's for lunch and pick up a copy to get started on reading. Please read the book before the meeting.
For grades 4-6. Register beginning October 1st.
