Join us for an author panel discussion on the mystery genre.  There will be time after the discussion for greeting authors and book signings. 

Author Bios for Saturday, June 28 Panel:

Annette Dashofy is the USA Today bestselling author of sixteen mystery novels including seven Agatha Award finalists and a Dr. Tony Ryan Book Award winner. Her latest release is What Comes Around: A Zoe Chambers Mystery. Annette is a board member of Pennwriters and is president of the Pittsburgh Chapter of Sisters in Crime. She and her husband live on ten acres of what was her grandfather’s dairy farm in Washington County with their very spoiled cat, Kensi.

 

Leslie Savisky is an award-winning author from Penn Township. Her self-published novels include: Other People’s Words, Almost Too Late and These Broken Pieces. Savisky is a contributing writer for Pittsburgh Parent magazine and the Monroeville Times Express, as well as a substitute teacher and student mentor. Savisky conducts free self-publishing talks at local libraries in order to help others tell their own stories.

 

Robin Acton is an award winning journalist and author Robin Acton is known for her work in covering crime, courts and investigative projects for western Pennsylvania newspapers.

Her 2021 debut novel, The Taker, was a Best Mystery finalist for the 2022 Silver Falchion Award given annually by the Killer Nashville International Writers’ Conference. Her second book, Empty Boxes, is set for a November release by the Blank Slate Press under the Amphorae Publishing Group. She is represented by literary agent Dean Krystek at WordLink Inc.

A wanderer at heart, Acton loves to travel and has thus far visited forty-two states and fifty countries, with the rest of the world on her bucket list. She and her husband, a retired Marine combat veteran, share a blended family that includes a daughter, three sons, five grandchildren, and a very spoiled Bichon, Louie.

Linda Rettstatt is an best-selling and award-winning author of over fifty books. She began writing women’s fiction in 2002.
