Program Description

Event Details

Presented by Core Connections.

The workshop explores how to regulate emotions within your window of tolerance, the optimal zone where you can think, feel, and respond effectively. We’ll look at what happens when you move into hyperactivation (anxious, agitated and angry states) or hypoactivation (numb, shut-down states), and share practical tools for returning to balance.

Bio:

Core Connections was founded by Caryn Jooste and Lauren Hartz, two licensed therapists with a shared passion for supporting the wellness and healing of the communities around them. They work with individuals across the lifespan, starting around age 7 through adulthood, and bring a warm and down-to-earth approach to their work.

Both founders have specialized training in trauma-informed therapy modalities and take a holistic view of human experiences. They consider the emotional, relational, physical, and cultural factors that shape who we are. Their work is grounded in empathy, connection, and a deep belief in people’s ability to heal and grow.
